DGTeens is a teen driver safety program billed at $38/month with no minimum term or cancellation fee. Cancel anytime by emailing DGTeens@DriveGuardians.com. The AI dashcam hardware is a separate purchase.
Return the dashcam within 60 days of cancellation in working condition and receive 50% of the original hardware cost back. Or pass it to another family — they sign up for $38/month and the camera is already paid for.
DGTeens may connect you with independent local installers upon request. This is a referral only. DGTeens is not a party to any agreement between you and an installer. The installer sets their own fees and is independently responsible for their work. DriveGuardians is not liable for installer availability, pricing, or workmanship.
The AI dashcam uses facial recognition to identify the driver and link detected driving behaviors to their individual safety profile. This constitutes collection of biometric data. Biometric data is used solely for driver behavior matching and is never sold or shared with third parties, insurers, or advertisers. Data is deleted within 60 days of cancellation.
User Responsibility for Evolving Law: Biometric privacy laws are changing rapidly across more than 20 U.S. states. It is your responsibility — not the company's — to monitor and comply with applicable biometric law in your jurisdiction, now and in the future. Illinois residents require a separate BIPA written consent before facial recognition activates.
DGTeens is a safety improvement tool, not a guarantee of safe driving or accident prevention. You remain responsible for your teen's driving at all times. DGTeens' liability is limited to fees paid in the 3 months preceding any claim. DGTeens is not liable for accidents, injuries, or insurance outcomes regardless of whether the program was in use.
Event video clips are stored for 30 days then automatically deleted. Trip GPS and score data is retained for the active subscription plus 60 days. We do not sell driving data to insurance companies, data brokers, or advertisers. Full details at dgteens.com/privacy.html
You agree not to tamper with the dashcam, use the program to monitor any driver without their knowledge, share footage publicly in any way that could harm the teen driver, or attempt to reverse-engineer the platform.
These terms are governed by California law. Biometric rights that cannot be contractually waived under applicable state law (including Illinois BIPA's private right of action) are preserved regardless of this agreement.
